INCO Terms

Incoterms (International Commercial Terms) are published by the ICC and define the responsibilities of buyers and sellers for the delivery of goods under sales contracts. They clarify who is responsible for transport, insurance, export/import formalities and costs at each stage of the supply chain.

Common Incoterms (2020)

  • EXW — Ex Works (seller makes goods available at premises)
  • FCA — Free Carrier (seller delivers to carrier named by buyer)
  • CPT — Carriage Paid To (seller pays carriage to named destination)
  • CIP — Carriage and Insurance Paid To
  • DAP — Delivered At Place
  • DDP — Delivered Duty Paid (seller assumes maximum obligations)
  • FAS — Free Alongside Ship
  • FOB — Free On Board
  • CFR — Cost and Freight
  • CIF — Cost, Insurance and Freight
